Role and Responsibilities of Store Cashier:

As a Store Cashier, your primary duty at Food Lion is to deliver rapid, precise, and courteous customer service to uphold the company's service benchmarks and ensure customer satisfaction. Collaboration with the Customer Service Manager and Assistant Customer Service Manager is vital in maintaining front-end operations for increased sales and customer gratification.

• Extend a friendly greeting to every patron, making sure to incorporate their name if you know it.
• Place the groceries from the carts onto the belt, grouping them together to streamline the bagging procedure.
• Ensure all additional items are accounted for by examining both the cart and child seats before concluding the order.
• Comply with the correct bagging processes and scan customers' items at the checkout.
• Carry out payment transactions according to standard protocols.
• Ensure compliance with cash management procedures and conduct overrides as deemed necessary.
• Aid individuals seeking help and provide carry-out service.
• Keep a watchful eye and ask for support to guarantee service excellence is maintained.
• Retrieve abandoned shopping carts from the parking lot and sustain orderly workstations.
• Stick to the rules regarding dress code and uniform guidelines to uphold a smart and business-appropriate appearance.
• Notify the relevant management of register malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
• Ensure the functionality of the MVP KIOSK and that it has enough paper.
• Abide by all company directives, policies, and safety regulations.
• Notify QA about cleaning and maintenance issues and make sure to address any unsafe conditions.
• Conclude web-based training programs and perform specified duties.

Required Skills and Experience of Store Cashier:
