Role and Responsibilities:

As a Kitchen Assistant, your responsibilities will include prepping and serving food, overseeing the cold case and salad bars, and assisting with cleanliness and restocking duties. Your main focus will be on maintaining high standards of quality, uniformity, and safety measures, all while delivering top-notch customer service.

• Follow production sheets to assemble food items for the refrigerated display case, freshly packaged items, salads, and hot bars.
• Follow recipe instructions precisely to maintain standard and uniformity of prepared dishes.
• Ensure all items are labeled, dated, sealed, checked for freshness, and rotated correctly.
• Keep track of food quantities and restock promptly when necessary.
• Be punctual, properly groomed, appropriately dressed, and prepared for assigned shifts; participate in mandatory trainings and meetings.
• Deliver excellent customer service by promptly and politely attending to customer needs and using effective suggestive selling strategies.
• Optimize sales opportunities by properly preparing, storing, rotating, stocking, and presenting merchandise.
• Adhere to established protocols such as Weights and Measures, cleanliness, and safety measures.
• Maintain a hygienic, sanitary, and safe work and shopping environment, including storage areas and refrigeration units.
• Complete all assigned opening, middle, and closing tasks with attention to detail, verifying the accuracy of signage and pricing.
• Report safety hazards and breaches promptly.
• Perform additional tasks as designated by store, regional, or national management.

• Manual dexterity including holding objects, precise handling, and moving items.
• Physical movements such as bending, rotating, crouching, and reaching.
• Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning substances.
• Ability to work in temperatures up to 90°F.
• Ability to operate effectively in both wet and dry environments.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency with tools and equipment such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and ladders.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly pay range of $16.50 to $30.20, depending on experience.
