Role and Responsibilities:

As a Bakery Clerk at Whole Foods Market, you are responsible for supporting bakery operations, maintaining product quality, and providing excellent service to customers.

• Assist in preparing, packaging, labeling, and stocking bakery items including bread, cakes, pastries, and specialty products.
• Provide courteous customer service by taking special orders, answering product questions, and making recommendations.
• Ensure bakery displays are attractive, fully stocked, and maintained for freshness and quality.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines when handling and storing bakery items.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bakery area, including equipment and tools.
• Rotate products, check expiration dates, and remove items that do not meet quality standards.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet customer and department needs.

Prerequisite Skills and Experience:

• Strong customer service skills combined with a positive and professional attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of food handling and safety practices.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
