Logistics Specialist

In the capacity of a Distribution Center Receiver, your responsibilities are paramount in ensuring the correctness, safety, and efficiency of receiving procedures that are essential for the smooth transfer of goods throughout the supply network.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Manage operations related to receiving and storing merchandise, including unloading shipments, verifying through RF scans, storing products in assigned areas, handling cross-dock logistics, and selecting flow-through items.
• Be punctual, well-dressed, and prepared for all scheduled shifts.
• Follow OSHA and Whole Foods protocols when operating powered pallet jacks or forklifts.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Comply with all safety protocols required by OSHA and the facility.
• Report all accidents and injuries promptly to the Team Leader or Facility Leadership.
• Process incoming shipments, confirm against the bill of lading, log information in the warehouse management system, and prepare items for storage.
• Inspect received products to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
• Accurately tag products for placement after verification.
• Conduct putaway operations as needed and maintain all relevant machinery.
• Execute accurate reception, staging, and selection of flow-through products.
• Stage all cross-dock shipments appropriately upon check-in.
• Maintain clear and organized areas for receiving, recyclables, and waste.
• Load reusable resources and merchandise onto transportation vehicles.
• Complete all inbound documentation accurately.
• Attend and actively participate in all team and facility meetings.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly pay ranges from $22.00 to $39.60, depending on experience.
