Role and Responsibilities:

The Cake Decorator is responsible for increasing guest confidence and loyalty by providing prompt, courteous service, maintaining consistent operating conditions, and creating a friendly atmosphere. This role produces baked goods and decorated cakes according to guest requests. Key responsibilities include:

• Provide continuous attention to guest needs; greet, assist, and thank guests courteously.
• Maintain appropriate product quantity, quality, and variety in display cases.
• Offer product suggestions and fulfill custom orders to guest satisfaction.
• Process, bake, and proof merchandise according to production guidelines.
• Decorate cakes and baked goods per guest requests.
• Receive and unload delivery trucks; stock and rotate products to ensure freshness.
• Use supplies efficiently to reduce waste and control costs.
• Operate department equipment and tools safely.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area; report faulty equipment or unsafe conditions to management.
• Notify management of theft, shoplifting, or violations of company policy.
• Floater Only: Travel to assigned stores as needed to perform duties.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Compliance with all Winn-Dixie policies and procedures.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
• Floater Only: Must be able to travel at least 80% of the time.
