Job Summary of Retail Pharmacist:
The objective is to oversee and organize pharmacy and DMEPOS activities effectively in order to regulate expenditures, uphold expected profit levels, surpass sales targets, ensure a pleasant and polite service for patients, and create favorable working environments for staff members. The role includes preparing, blending, and composing prescriptions for patients while also offering consultations upon request
Responsibilities of Retail Pharmacist:
- Plans the performance of the department in accordance with the company's policies and regulations
- Assessing the department's strategies, operational blueprint, documentation, and range of offerings to ensure sustained expansion and economic resilience
- Manages and assesses pharmacy operations to ensure sustained expansion and economic security
- Verifying pharmacy protocols are upheld to enhance the approval of the facility, leading to the continued presence of facilities
- Must complete all stages of the sales procedure, possess knowledge of and proficiently elucidate the pharmacy's medication distribution mechanisms, and offer training for facility personnel on-site
- Oversees the establishment and monitoring of a system for controlling inventory
- Adheres to or modifies merchandising strategies as directed by the inventory management system
- Monitors returns and becomes outdated rapidly
- Manages or oversees pricing competitiveness
- Adjusting prices based on monthly evaluations of gross margins
- Manages and fine-tunes departmental purchasing and ordering processes to optimize inventory management, turnover rates, and operational effectiveness
- Monitor and have a thorough understanding of the billing process for resident and facility accounts
- Creates and sustains strategies for ongoing expansion and progress, modifying them on a quarterly basis if necessary
- Regularly evaluates department timetables and makes necessary modifications according to facility occupancy requirements and shipment timings
- Supervises and manages extra hours worked
- Evaluates department to ensure that standards of pharmacy regulations are met, maintaining organizational structure, work ethic, and staff morale at an optimal level
- Reviews all spending and enacts revisions to enhance cash flow management
- The safety of working environments is consistently upheld
- Offers safety instruction and oversees training programs to ensure workplace security
- Observes safety documentation and implements changes to enhance safety performance
- Leads or executes all personnel-related tasks within the department while adhering to company policies
- Offers chances for employees' growth and progression within the workforce
- Demonstrates a model of personal honesty, presentation, and moral business behaviors that establishes a guideline for all staff members within the department
Qualifications of Retail Pharmacist:
- To excel in this role, one must competently execute all necessary tasks.
- Pharmacist with an active state professional license in compliance with regulations.
- Project a dignified image.
- Demonstrating politeness towards patients and colleagues.
- Proficiency in operating pharmacy-specific software, alongside other essential programs required for effective pharmacy management
