Role and Responsibilities:
The Store Cashier is responsible for ensuring an efficient, accurate, and friendly checkout process. This role helps maintain financial accuracy while providing dependable service that builds strong customer trust and loyalty. Key responsibilities include:
- Customer Service: Greet, assist, and thank customers in a courteous manner; resolve or escalate issues to management; and provide details about promotions or specials when needed.
- Cash Register Operation: Efficiently process transactions using the scanning system; operate cashier equipment; accept all payment methods; return correct change; and assist with training new team members when required.
- Product Stocking and Maintenance: Restock and organize front-end products; return misplaced or unwanted items to the appropriate department; manage carts; and keep the work area clean, orderly, and safe.
- Loss Prevention & Compliance: Report theft, shoplifting, unauthorized discounts, or other policy violations; and follow all company safety, service, and security guidelines.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Must meet minimum age requirements set by the company and by law.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
- Capable of following both written and verbal instructions.
- Authorized to work in the United States or able to obtain authorization.
- Successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug screening.
