Qualifications:

• Experience with basic mathematical calculations and cash management is recommended.
• Those with background experience in cashiering, retail, or customer service are favored.

Key roles, essential responsibilities, and primary tasks:

• Offers superb member service through friendly greetings, efficient purchase processing, and courteous responses to inquiries.
• Scans merchandise with the POS system to guarantee precise pricing and efficient inventory monitoring.
• Processes a range of payment types, including cash, check, credit, and mobile transactions.
• Educates about the benefits of membership, renewals, and upgrades, such as the BJ’s Loyalty and EASY Renewal programs.
• Makes sure that all transactions are accurately processed, including providing receipts and correct change.
• Helps users at self-checkout and scan-to-pay stations with resolving elementary technical difficulties.
• Handles the upkeep of cleanliness in the front-end section, registers, and cashier lanes.
• Keeps informed about promotions and advertisements to alert members of discounts and special promotions.
• Observance of club policies and procedures to ensure operational supremacy and member delight.
• Takes on additional responsibilities as assigned, including offering aid in other departments if needed.
• It is crucial for this position that employees maintain a regular and predictable attendance record.

Environmental Job Conditions:

• Frequent time spent standing and walking on unyielding surfaces.
• Occasional bending, extending, and lifting objects up to 30 pounds (heavier items with support).
• Mainly an indoor environment with low levels of temperature fluctuations and noise disruptions.
• Intermittent use of cleaning solutions.
