Meat Cutter

Job Summary:

Fiesta Mart is seeking a skilled and reliable Meat Cutter 1 to join our team at Store 047 in Missouri City. Under direct supervision, you will be responsible for breaking down, cutting, and preparing meat products to company standards. This role involves using hand tools and power equipment to process meat for display or special customer orders, ensuring quality and consistency. Physical stamina and attention to safety and hygiene are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Break down, trim, and cut meat products according to company specifications and customer requests.
• Prepare meat products for display and maintain proper rotation to ensure freshness.
• Assist customers with special meat orders, providing knowledgeable and friendly service.
• Collaborate with Meat Clerks and Meat Manager to determine daily cutting and product needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area, equipment, and tools in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, bending, standing, and stooping for extended periods.
• Follow all food safety protocols and wear appropriate protective equipment.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly to management.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience in meat cutting, butchers, or food preparation preferred.
• Food Handler Card or equivalent certification is required.
• Ability to safely operate cutting tools and power equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety standards.
• Physical ability to handle heavy lifting and maintain stamina for long shifts.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well with team members and customers.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Salary:

Starting wage typically ranges from $14.00 to $17.00 per hour, depending on experience and certifications.
