Role and Responsibilities:
The Retail Bagger helps ensure a positive shopping experience by providing quick, accurate, and courteous service at checkout. This position is responsible for careful grocery handling, assisting customers, and keeping the front-end area clean and organized. Key responsibilities include:
Welcome and thank customers with professionalism and friendliness.
Unload and bag groceries securely to prevent damage.
Assist customers with loading purchases into vehicles when requested.
Retrieve and organize shopping carts from the parking lot and store perimeter.
Confirm product pricing with other departments as needed.
Restock and use front-end supplies efficiently to reduce waste.
Return misplaced or unwanted items to the correct department.
Maintain checkout lanes, cart areas, and workstations in a clean and safe condition.
Report hazards, equipment concerns, or suspicious activity to management.
Support loss prevention by reporting theft or policy violations.
Carry out other duties as assigned by store leadership.
Required Skills and Experience:
Must meet the company’s minimum age requirement.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Authorization to work in the United States.
Successful completion of a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
