Meat Cutter Associate

Job Summary of Meat Cutter Associate:

To slice meat and its derivatives into various sizes, categories, and standards according to the company's regulations. Verify appropriate trimming, wrapping, and labeling to sustain the quality, safety, and display of the products.

Responsibilities of Meat Cutter Associate:

• Carry out merchandise cutting and trimming in compliance with company standards.
• Carry out pricing and display tasks according to the directives of the Meat Manager or Meat Supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the work, exhibit, and storage facilities.
• Keep the overseeing manager informed of any temperature failures affecting the cases and storage locations.
• Provide timely and respectful support to ensure positive customer service relations are upheld.
• Abide by the established guidelines and protocols within the department.
• Observe and uphold the health weights and measures regulations instituted by local, state, and federal authorities.
• Obey the guidelines and policies as stipulated in the Employee Handbook.
• Provide support in wrapping and packaging activities when necessary.
• Obtain, evaluate, and dismantle meats and related commodities.
• Follow OSHA guidelines for equipment maintenance and operation to promote a secure work setting.

Qualifications of Meat Cutter Associate:

• Ability to read and write to properly tag product.
• Must have dexterity in hands to enable the cutting and trimming of the meats.
• Ability to lift up to seventy (70) pounds at least forty percent (40%) of the time.
• Should have at least one year experience as a meat wrapper.
