Responsibilities of Food Service Clerk:
- Create a pleasant atmosphere for customers by greeting them warmly and prioritizing their needs and requests.
- Support clients by leading them to items, obtaining products beyond their reach, and communicating recommendations or requests.
- Promptly pick up calls and manage customer requests while stationed at the Market Grille order counter.
- Coordinate efforts with coworkers to enhance customer satisfaction and sustain a welcoming work environment.
- Check the daily orders and production lists regularly to guarantee the availability of necessary food items and the freshness of products.
- Make sure to prepare and restock goods as needed, which involves taking products from coolers or freezers for cooking tasks.
- Validate the receipt of deliveries, ensure proper storage of items, and assess invoices when relevant.
- Operate departmental registers and facilitate payment processing as needed.
- Maintain the cleanliness of workspaces and dispose of waste in a timely fashion.
- Ensure that personal hygiene, clothing choices, and safety precautions are in accordance with the guidelines established by the department and the company.
- Show up on time for your scheduled shift and abide by the store's guidelines.
- Attend to the dishes as they accumulate.
- Acquire supplies and goods as necessary.
- Establish pricing for customers as needed.
- Dispatch items as required.
- Assist in additional store areas as needed by management.
- Take on extra job duties and specialized projects as necessary.
Qualifications of Food Service Clerk:
- Proficiency in following detailed yet straightforward instructions and carrying out basic mathematical operations.
- Skill in interpreting oral or written commands and transmitting basic messages.
- No education requirement
- Preference is given to applicants with six months or fewer of related experience.
Physical Requirements of Food Service Clerk:
- Ability to exert up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly.
- Visual requirements include near and far vision, depth perception, color vision, and full field of vision.
- Ability to perform activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
