Responsibilities of Checkout Cashier:

• As a Checkout Cashier at Sprouts Farmers Market, you are the face of the company while you process each customer’s order quickly, accurately, and efficiently while ensuring complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service.As a Cashier, Sprouts Farmers Market looks to you to accurately handle customer cash, credit/debit payments, and change, and assist customers by providing information and resolving their complaints. Following all front end procedures, assisting with stocking shelves, facing and dusting as needed are all a part of the day for a Sprouts Farmers Market Cashier.
• A Checkout Cashier maintains knowledge of weekly ad items, gives customers direction of product location throughout the store, is familiar with events and seminars going on or coming up, and maintains excellent communication with front end manager and Head Cashier at all times.
• A Checkout Cashier is expected to ensure that checkout areas are properly maintained in a clean and orderly condition at all times, and execute all other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications of Checkout Cashier:

• Must be 18 years old or older, possess a high school diploma or its equivalent, and have 1-2 years of recent cashier experience.
• Demonstrate a sociable and amiable demeanor, maintain a constructive outlook, and engage effectively with our clientele.
• Proficiency in utilizing front-end machinery including the register, calculator, and scanner.
• It is important to be trustworthy and consistent, capable of adapting to a fluctuating schedule that may involve evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Having effective communication abilities is crucial; being able to receive feedback positively and follow instructions while collaborating with a group is essential
• Possess the capacity to engage in repetitive tasks while also demonstrating proficiency in managing multiple responsibilities, prioritizing effectively, and maintaining organizational skills.
• Required to manually transport a 30 lbs. item horizontally or vertically between 36 to 24 inches for a maximum distance of 3 feet for a total of 50 hours without the aid of machinery.
• It is necessary to exert a force of up to 35 pounds with both hands to push grocery carts sideways for distances of up to 4 feet, and this activity can last for a maximum of 50 hours.
• Attention to detail and numerical proficiency are necessary, along with expertise in cash management and mathematical abilities, including reading, writing, and counting skills.
