Job Summary of Meat Production Associate:

Serving as a Meat Production Associate, you are responsible for providing customers with friendly and efficient service, assisting them with inquiries, preparing and handling meat products, and ensuring they have a positive shopping experience. You also play a role in maintaining a clean and organized work area and aiding team members in their daily operations..

Responsibilities of Meat Production Associate:

• Observe all corporate policies, procedures, and legal stipulations.
• Execute tasks in accordance with the Management Planning framework.
• Ensure that all interactions with colleagues demonstrate fairness, dignity, and respect for each individual.
• Acquire comprehensive knowledge of meat department products and their respective cooking protocols.
• Support in special projects and execute additional tasks as instructed by the manager.
• Aid in instructing and coaching other associates as assigned.
• Always ensure that your personal appearance meets the company's standards by following their guidelines.
• Support ongoing and efficient communication within the department and across the company.
• Uphold the safety regulations of the company. Notify the appropriate authorities about any equipment repairs or maintenance tasks that are needed. Keep the workspace free from debris and safety hazards.
• Uphold and monitor the adherence to the company's cleanliness and food safety guidelines.
• Accomplish any further assignments as mandated.
• Offer exemplary customer service by engaging with and supporting customers to help them choose products.
• Execute the required tasks for identifying, wrapping, pricing, and weighing meat department items according to standard practice.
• Ensure correct rotation procedures are observed when organizing products in the fresh, frozen, and self-serve units.
• Assist butchers in their meat cutting tasks by scraping and traying products, cubing steaks, and grinding meat to meet various requirements.
• Get meat package, allocate code, reposition, and store in the appropriate storage space.
• Maintain cleanliness by washing, rinsing, and sanitizing cases, wrapping stations, scales, coolers, and cutting areas, including the essential step of dismantling and reassembling equipment as required.

Qualifications of Meat Production Associate:

• Meeting the minimum age specifications is a requirement.

Physical Requirements of Meat Production Associate:

• Lift cases or packages of meat products weighing 1-40lb. frequently and 100 lb. on occasion.
• Meet established volume activity standards.
• Stand or walk 100% of the time while working in temperatures of 45 degrees F the majority of the time.
• Perform repetitive grasping, twisting, reaching and hand/arm motions as the product is identified, wrapped, priced and weighed.
• Be able to handle a variety of substances associated with cleaning materials, packaging materials and meat products.
• Frequent bending.
