Responsibilities of Produce Shift Manager:

• Aid the Produce Shift Manager in the effective organization and presentation of items within the department to optimize output and revenue
• Tasks include overseeing purchase orders, maintaining optimal inventory levels, ensuring product quality standards are met, and supervising the Produce team.
• Efficiently synchronize merchandising and sales efforts by continuously planning, directing, establishing targets, communicating, and fostering teamwork
• Responsible for preserving freshness standards in the department by executing correct protocols in receiving, processing, packaging, pricing, displaying, and rotating an extensive selection of goods.
• Aid in leading a team through brainstorming sessions to ensure the delivery of high-quality products, top-tier service, and an unparalleled customer experience.
• Assistance in the recruitment, education, instruction, training, and advancement of the Produce team
• Receive and categorize store deliveries, manage, and service produce tools and equipment
• Guarantee that all health, safety, and sanitation standards set by the company are being met and verify that fellow Produce team members are knowledgeable and compliant with these guidelines.
• We are seeking individuals who flourish in a rapidly changing atmosphere

Qualifications of Produce Shift Manager:

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a basic knowledge of math, weights and measures.
• Be dependable and reliable having the ability to work flexible schedule that changes; including night, weekends, and holidays.
• Have and show an outgoing and friendly behavior; a positive attitude and have the ability to interact with our customers.
• Have good communication skills; and the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work area (including tables, floor, walls, cases, cooler, freezer, etc.).
• Adhere to all safety, health, Weights and Measures regulations including COOL, and achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit.
• Be able to perform the following: standing, walking, bending, climbing throughout the entire work day and the ability to lift, stack and maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., from 4 to 72, for a distance up 3 feet for between 10-50 hours without mechanical assistance.
• Be able to use a pallet jack to move pallets a distance up to 20 feet, requiring a force of up to 85 pounds for up to 5 hours.
