Job Summary of Store Shift Supervisor:

This position is responsible for supporting daily operations by overseeing store functions, driving customer engagement, and ensuring adherence to Weis Markets policies. The role requires strong leadership skills to manage workflows, maintain merchandising standards, and deliver a positive customer and associate experience.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Store Shift Supervisor:

• Act as Manager on Duty to support smooth daily operations and resolve on-site challenges.
• Execute merchandising strategies and maintain in-stock conditions across the store.
• Drive customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and providing feedback to associates.
• Oversee work assignments, ensuring efficient use of resources and compliance with labor laws.
• Manage product receiving, quality inspection, pricing, and rotation procedures.
• Promote safety by ensuring proper equipment use and adherence to OSHA standards.
• Conduct daily store walks to monitor performance, provide guidance, and maintain visibility.
• Support and implement Weis Markets programs to meet operational goals and business results.
• Communicate Weis Markets policies clearly and ensure associate compliance.

Qualifications and Experience of Store Shift Supervisor:

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate degree or two years of relevant experience is preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to supervise and motivate team members effectively.
• Familiarity with retail operations and customer service best practices.
• Capability to work independently and make informed decisions under pressure.
