Primary functions, crucial tasks, and essential responsibilities:

• Delivers top-notch member service by warmly welcoming members, efficiently processing purchases, and providing courteous responses to inquiries.
• Checks merchandise by scanning them through the POS system for precise pricing and effective inventory monitoring.
• Processes payments through cash, check, credit, and mobile transaction methods.
• Outlines the benefits of membership, renewals, and upgrades, such as BJ's Rewards and Simple Renewal programs, and explains their significance.
• Ensures that all transactions are accurately processed by issuing receipts and providing correct change to customers.
• Assists customers utilizing self-checkout and scan-to-pay terminals in troubleshooting basic technical challenges.
• Oversees the cleanliness of the front-end location, registers, and customer payment sections.
• Is up to speed on promotions and advertisements to let members know about discounts and special promotions.
• Compliance with club policies and procedures to uphold operational standards and ensure member contentment.
• Undertakes additional duties as given, including assisting in alternative areas if required.
• Maintaining regular and predictable attendance is a fundamental requirement for this role.

Environmental Job Conditions:

• Consistent time spent on foot and moving on tough surfaces.
• Intermittent stooping, reaching, and lifting loads weighing up to 30 pounds (heavier items aided by others).
