Job Summary of Barista:

The role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by creating personalized experiences and ensuring high-quality products are served. This role involves maintaining the cleanliness of the store, operating cash registers, and collaborating with team members to contribute to the overall success of the team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Barista:

• Creates personalized experiences for customers by demonstrating knowledge of coffee products and offers. Actively seeks to recognize, include, appreciate, support, and delight customers.
• Proudly develops expertise in their craft while diligently maintaining equipment and the store environment. Crafts and serves only the highest quality products.
• Contributes to the success of the team and supports others to do their best work. Seeks opportunities to recognize, include, appreciate, support, and delight fellow baristas.
• Operates and is responsible for cash register operations, ensuring proper money handling to avoid cash overages or shortages.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation in the department, following cleaning schedules and department guidelines to meet health and OSHA requirements.
• Assists with baling cardboard or other related duties (if properly trained). Training is provided.
• Assists with receiving, unloading, checking-in, breaking down, and storing deliveries through operation of a power jack or hand jack (if properly trained). Training is provided.
• Utilizes all company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including cut-resistant gloves, safety cutters, and company-sponsored footwear.
• May assist in other departments as needed.

Qualifications and Experience of Barista:

• No specific experience required, but prior customer service or foodservice experience is a plus.
• Ability to operate a cash register and handle money accurately.
• Willingness to undergo training in various tasks including food preparation and handling equipment.
• Ability to work effectively with a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
