Responsibilities of Deli Counter Staff:

• Supporting clients in their pursuit of healthful eating habits by providing fresh and easy-to-make meal selections
• Ensuring superior customer satisfaction and overseeing the accurate preparation, packaging, and display of Deli products, with a focus on preserving the cleanliness of the Deli area
• Handling the refilling, organization, and alteration of products and presentations
• Preparing individualized orders and arranging catering trays for gatherings
• Operating deli equipment like meat and cheese slicers, ovens, microwaves, cutting tools, scales, and other necessary machinery following the guidelines and protocols of the company
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary deli area and equipment involves actions such as organizing shelves and products, preventing spills on the floors, removing hazardous debris from the ground, and conducting frequent sweeping
• Assessing, recording, and receiving goods for shipment accuracy, temperature regulation, and product quality

Qualifications of Deli Counter Staff:

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.

• It is necessary to have the capability to stand for up to 4 hours consecutively, totaling 8 hours over the duration of one shift.
• Ensure departmental cleanliness by sanitizing and cleaning work areas thoroughly, encompassing tables, floors, walls, and cooling systems.
• Be in charge of the slicer, wrapping, and cooking equipment; assist in the maintenance of all tools for safe operations.
• Adhere to regulations pertaining to safety, health, and Weights and Measures, and secure and continue a Food Handlers permit
• Demonstrate the ability to work proficiently in differing temperature ranges, encompassing both cool and frozen settings.
• Other connected duties as determined.
