Qualifications:

Main assignments, duties, and key responsibilities:

• Offers superb member service through friendly greetings, efficient purchase processing, and courteous responses to inquiries.
• Utilizes the POS terminal to scan products accurately for pricing and inventory control purposes.
• Manages transactions involving cash, checks, credit cards, and mobile payment options.
• Elaborates on the benefits provided by memberships, renewals, and upgrades, showcasing programs like BJ’s Loyalty and EASY Renewal.
• Provides customers with receipts and correct change to guarantee the accuracy of all transactions.
• Assists customers utilizing self-checkout and scan-to-pay terminals in troubleshooting basic technical challenges.
• Takes responsibility for ensuring the front-end area, registers, and checkout lanes are kept clean and orderly.
• Remains current with promotions and advertisements to notify members of discounts and special promotions.
• Adherence to club policies and procedures to uphold operational standards and ensure member satisfaction.
• Carries out extra tasks as required, which may involve assisting in different departments as necessary.
• It is crucial for this position that employees maintain a regular and predictable attendance record.

Environmental Job Conditions:

• Regularly being on one's feet and moving around on firm ground.
• Periodic bending, extending, and transporting items up to 30 pounds (heavier objects aided by others).
• Predominantly an indoor atmosphere with little interaction with varying temperatures or high levels of noise.
