Your role on the Retail Operations team will involve bolstering exceptional service provision and preserving high standards across all areas of the operation.

Role and Responsibilities of Store Associate:

Your duties as a Store Associate will revolve around delivering quick, flexible, and friendly customer service, as well as aiding department managers in preserving operational and merchandising norms. Your core responsibility involves enhancing the shopping experience for customers and maintaining compliance with food safety standards.

• Deliver exceptional customer care at the front end through activities such as scanning, bagging items, and organizing the checkout areas.
• Help Food Lion To Go customers receive fast and precise service.
• Manage product inventories, cleanliness standards, and proper food processing in the Produce, Deli/Bakery/HMS, Perishable, and Grocery departments.
• Properly use various equipment, including pallet jacks, slicers, and cash registers, in a safe manner.
• Stock shelves according to company standards, lifting up to 70 lbs and pushing/pulling pallets weighing up to 2,000 lbs.
• Transport vacant bottles and containers from the front to the backroom whenever necessary.
• Abide by safety protocols, food safety guidelines, and store procedures at all times.
• Assist in performing miscellaneous tasks as instructed by management to ensure smooth running of operations.

Required Skills and Experience of Store Associate:

• Acquiring effective communication techniques and top-notch customer service skills.
• Skill and interest in learning multiple tasks and technical skills.
• Satisfy the minimum age requirements for specific job functions.
• Aptitude to satisfy physical expectations, including carrying loads of up to 50 pounds, standing for prolonged periods, and managing tasks related to cleaning and packaging materials.
• Proficiency in utilizing computers and other forms of communication technology is a pre-requisite for performing job tasks.
• Stay attentive to the particulars when engaging in repetitive hand and arm actions.
