The Bakery Planning Manager at Sprouts Farmers Market is tasked with overseeing Bakery Clerks, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction, and assisting the Bakery Manager in the daily supervision of Bakery Department operations.

Responsibilities of Bakery Planning Manager:

• Support the Bakery Manager in the supervision and promotion of the department to enhance efficiency and revenue
• Accountable for ordering supplies, monitoring inventory levels, ensuring product quality, and leading the Bakery team
• Carrying out the reorganization of merchandise and setting up innovative showcases
• Keep an eye on the arriving shipments for any damaged goods
• Maintain high standards of customer service and supervise the quality control of Bakery goods
• Handle the reception and arrangement of deliveries at the store, as well as the operation and care of deli tools
• Enforce the implementation of the company's health, safety, and sanitation standards and ensure that all Bakery team members are knowledgeable about and adhering to these guidelines.

Qualifications of Bakery Planning Manager:

• A requirement is to be 18 years or older and possess a minimum of two years of experience in retail grocery, coupled with two years of supervisory experience.
• Be dependable and reliable having the ability to work flexible schedule that changes; including night, weekends, and holidays.
• Exhibit an extroverted and amiable approach, displaying a positive mindset and being able to engage effectively with our customers.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and the aptitude to offer and receive guidance when working within a team dynamic.
• Possess the skill to handle incoming calls and cater to specific orders.
• Engage in regular housekeeping duties within the department; uphold cleanliness standards by sanitizing workspaces, floors, walls, and cooling facilities.
• Demonstrate competence in the operation and utilization of knives, scales, wrapping devices, trash compactors, waste disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks when required. Apply understanding of scale functions and weight calculations for precise product weighing and labeling.
• Candidates must be capable of sustaining a standing position for a continuous period of 3 hours and up to 8 hours during a single shift. Furthermore, they should be able to lift trays weighing up to 5 lbs. from heights ranging between 7 and 64 for as long as 10 hours. The role also entails the vertical or horizontal movement of items weighing up to 40 lbs. from heights of 5 to 36 and distances up to 36 feet without the use of mechanical support for a duration of up to 10 hours.
• Comply with safety, health, and Weights and Measures rules, and acquire and retain a Food Handlers certification.
