Job Summary of Produce Clerk:

Maintain and stock produce to ensure freshness, quality, and proper presentation for customers. Provide friendly, courteous service while supporting overall store operations in a fast-paced grocery environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Produce Clerk:

• Merchandise produce to maintain freshness and minimize damage or spoilage.
• Build and maintain displays, rotate stock, and remove outdated or spoiled items.
• Ensure accurate pricing and signage for all produce items.
• Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing work areas, storage spaces, and selling floors.
• Assist customers with product inquiries and provide support as needed.
• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures while handling produce and equipment.

Qualifications and Experience of Produce Clerk:

• Previous retail or grocery experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet department productivity standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality customer service.
• Ability to safely operate produce department equipment and follow store policies.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and reaching.
