Job Summary of Warehouse Receiver:

As a ShopRite Warehouse Receiver, your main responsibility is to receive and authenticate incoming shipments, ensuring that all items are correctly checked in, validated, and stored. Maintaining a clean and organized receiving area, managing the processing of returns and damaged goods per company policy, and effectively communicating with department teams are focal points of your role. Additionally, you will be involved in ensuring invoice accuracy, supporting inventory operations, and delivering courteous service in your interactions with vendors and colleagues.

Responsibilities of Warehouse Receiver:

• Process the unloading and receiving of incoming packages safely, efficiently, and with proper organization.
• Thoroughly review all invoices to verify the correctness of information such as costs, retail prices, and quantities.
• Ensure that the product is in accordance with the specifications outlined in the purchase orders and supporting documents.
• Ensure compliance with Company policy when handling products that are damaged or being returned to inventory.
• Always strive to uphold a neat and organized appearance in the receiving area.
• Keep a close eye on storage locations to guarantee they are neat and comply with the standards for food safety.
• Follow the established procedures for accurate date marking, rotation, and storage of products.
• Support in keeping track of inventory differences and informing the relevant personnel about any discrepancies.
• Make use of power or manual hydraulic lifts, hand trucks, and related gear as needed in the process of receiving and transferring items.
• Communicate efficiently with department managers to secure the accurate handling and dispersal of items that have been received.
• Observe and abide by all safety procedures and rules when engaging with equipment or merchandise.
• Attend and complete any required training programs and stay up-to-date on the company's receiving guidelines.
• Adhere to ShopRite's emphasis on Service Priorities (Safety, Friendliness, Presentation, and Efficiency) when performing duties.
• Support the operational needs of the store by working together harmoniously with others.
• Undertake supplementary assignments as instructed.

Qualifications of Warehouse Receiver:

• To handle balers, hi-lo's, power jacks, and similar devices, one must be at least 18 years old.
• Competence in the English language involves the capacity to comprehend, analyze, and communicate information accurately.
• Competence in handling elementary math tasks.
• Skill to remain upright or mobile for the duration of the assigned work hours.
• Requirement to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and lift objects weighing 25 lbs regularly, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Skill in working in different temperature conditions, like cold storage zones.
• Proficiency in managing fresh, dried, or processed commodities, spices, and powdered substances without encountering any adverse impacts.
• Aptitude to endure dust and cleaning products while carrying out routine cleaning duties in the home.
• Skill in interacting with clients and suppliers with professionalism and assistance.
• Showing competence in working harmoniously with colleagues and complying with allocated work hours.
