Responsibilities:

• Deliver excellent customer service by answering questions, assisting with product selection, and using suggestive selling techniques to boost department sales
• Work flexibly across several departments, including bakery, floral, deli, dairy, produce, seafood, cosmetics, and general merchandise
• Perform stocking, product rotation, replenishment, packaging, labeling, pricing, and merchandising tasks
• Build and maintain attractive displays and ensure inventory accuracy through receiving and organizing product
• Operate equipment safely and maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all work areas
• Follow Store and department standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies, and food safety regulations
• Serve as a checker as needed while supporting cross-functional responsibilities
• Adapt to flexible schedules to meet departmental and store needs

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum age 18 and a high school diploma or equivalent
• At least 6 months of experience with H-E-B store operations preferred
• Completion of company orientation and safety training
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Comfortable working independently and managing multiple tasks across departments
• Knowledge of computer systems such as Symbol scanners, ACR, and label machines a plus
• Physical ability to perform job-specific tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs or more, standing for extended periods, and working in various temperature conditions
