Maintaining the freshness, organization, and proper labeling of products in the Meat Department is crucial for customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities of Meat Sales Clerk:

• Assist in unloading and separating the delivered merchandise.
• Transport stock for storage to stock areas.
• Open cartons and price items (if needed) accurately.
• Keep store shelves fully stocked according to tag allocations.
• Assist in building store displays and meat bunker items.
• Keep perishable merchandise rotated and pull out-of-code product as needed.
• Control the level of damaged goods and handle them according to company policy.
• Assist in the cleaning and sanitation of the meat preparation room during the work shift.
• Properly present assigned section prior to leaving at the end of scheduled work shift.
• Observe policies and procedures established for each department.
• Greet customers who come into the store and be observant.
• Maintain a neat appearance according to the company's dress code policy.
• Abid by all company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook.
• Maintenance of price and protection program.
• Housekeeping of sales and back room areas.

Qualifications of Meat Sales Clerk:

• The skill of reading and writing is essential for accurately tagging goods, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and overseeing product rotation.
• Competence in unloading, relocating, and situating merchandise in designated spots.
• Potential to lift a maximum of 70 pounds for forty percent of the work shift.
