The Order Processing Clerk delivers quick, effective, and amicable service to customers, reviews and fulfills their orders, and upholds food safety protocols while keeping the work environment tidy. Responsibilities of Order Processing Clerk:

• Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern, and patience in all customer interactions.
• Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner, whether in the designated department or elsewhere in the store.
• Learn customers' names and address them by name whenever possible.
• Assist customers by escorting them to products, securing items out of reach, loading or unloading heavy items, passing along suggestions or requests, and enhancing the shopping experience in every way possible.
• Answer the telephone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service, including taking customer orders.
• Take customer orders at the Market Grille counter.
• Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
• Review daily orders and prepare products accordingly.
• Ensure adequate food supply is available; follow or develop a production list.
• Pull product from cooler/freezer for cooking; check product status and freshness.
• Check in product, put away stock, and review invoices as needed.
• Run department registers, receive payment, and make change where applicable.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
• Remove trash in a timely manner.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and hygiene guidelines.
• Adhere to company policies and dress code.
• Report to work as scheduled and on time.
• Wash dishes as necessary.
• Order products and supplies as needed.
• Price products for customers as necessary.
• Deliver orders as required.
• Assist in other store areas as needed.
• Perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications of Order Processing Clerk:

• No specific educational prerequisites are necessary.
• Less than half a year of comparable or correlated work history.
• Proficiency in executing precise yet uncomplicated written or verbal directives.
• Capacity to handle a limited number of tangible elements.
• Fundamental arithmetic abilities such as basic addition and subtraction.
• Proficiency in duplicating numerical data, tallying, and documenting details precisely.
• Capacity to adhere to spoken or shown directions, document identifying details, and ask for materials verbally or through written means.

Physical Requirements of Order Processing Clerk:

• The individual should be capable of performing moderate physical tasks, such as lifting weights up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs consistently.
• Various aspects of vision such as near and far sight, depth perception, color discrimination, and peripheral vision are considered in visual requirements.
• Proficiency in ascending, maintaining equilibrium, bending, crouching, extending, remaining upright, moving, exerting force, dragging, hoisting, holding, sensing, communicating verbally, perceiving sounds, and executing recurring actions is required.

Working Conditions of Order Processing Clerk:

• Tasks are carried out predominantly within a retail setting, where there is a sense of urgency to meet set timelines and manage various tasks simultaneously.
• Being around loud sounds, risks associated with machinery in motion, exposure to cleaning agents, potential for electric shock, and extreme temperatures are all factors that can pose risks to individuals.
